Balanga’s signature city fiesta, built around the feast of St. Joseph — the city patron — with a colourful street-dancing competition.
The Banga Festival is Balanga’s city fiesta, held every 28 April to coincide with the feast of St. Joseph, the city’s patron saint. First mounted in 2002, it fills the city centre with a street-dancing competition (whose dates flex slightly around the feast — for example 26 April in 2024).
Celebrations centre on Plaza Mayor de Balanga and the Cathedral Shrine Parish of St. Joseph.
The 2027 edition has not yet been announced — follow the City Government / City Tourism Office for the schedule.
Dates confirmed closer to the time. This is a recurring annual event — the organiser usually announces the exact date a few weeks ahead.
