Every January, Bataan celebrates its Foundation Day alongside Balanga’s cityhood anniversary — in early 2026 the 269th Foundation Day and 25th Cityhood Anniversary were marked with concerts along Balanga City Public Market Road.
Though Balanga legally became a city on 30 December 2000, the festivities are tied to the January Bataan Foundation Day rather than late December.
The next edition (270th Foundation Day / 26th Cityhood Anniversary) is expected around January 2027. Watch the Provincial and City government pages for the confirmed dates.
